Pyrotect Sportsman Deluxe This lightweight, basic suit is loaded with features not usually found in a suit at this price. Features include epaulets for safety so that should you need to be pulled, safety personnel can grab you by the shoulder epaulets and pull you from the car. Vented arm attachments and waist expansion panels make the suit more comfortable to wear and the hidden pockets, hidden boot cuffs and arm accent piping make this a very stylist suit.
Made of Fire Retardant (FR) cotton, this suit carries an SFI 3.2A/1 which allows about 6 seconds in a fire before the wear sustains serious burns. Thus this suit must be worn with FR underwear to be legal for use in most road racing sanctioning bodies and should be worn with FR underwear whenever worn as a driving suit. For non driving applications such as by a refueler on a pit crew, this suit can be worn without FR underwear. Take note too that FR cotton or Proban� suits are not as durable as Nomex� and will show wear after a season or two of machine washings.
